HFCT Sensor

       The HFCT sensor independently developed by our company is a ring like open and close design, which realizes the non-invasive installation and detection mode and is widely applicable to various power monitoring sites. The sensor adopts a specially processed metal shell, which can realize the shielding and anti-interference of the complex electromagnetic environment in the power field, and is also suitable for all-weather outdoor use (can meet the 96H salt fog test). The sensor is connected to the measuring equipment at the back end for processing and transmission (including filtering, wave detection, conditioning, digitization, identification, remote transmission), so as to conduct online or patrol inspection and monitoring of the operating power equipment.

     Partial discharge (PD) is one of the faults that occur due to the defects of the user’s electrical high-voltage insulation system. The user needs partial discharge measurement to monitor the equipment condition and avoid faults. The HFCT sensor is designed based on the principle of Rogowski Coil. High frequency current causes the magnetic field of Rogowski coil to change, thus generating induced voltage at the coil outlet. When partial discharge occurs inside the high-voltage cable, high-frequency pulse current signal will be generated. This signal is introduced to the ground through the cable connector or the grounding wire at the terminal. The HFCT sensor is installed on the grounding wire in a non-invasive way to detect the status of cable partial discharge.
